Growing Conditions
Savoy vineyard is one of the most respected vineyards in Pinot Noir, planted in 1991 in collaboration of Rich Savoy and Ted Lemon (Littorai) located on 44 acres in Anderson Valley. Co-fermented with Pommard and Wadensville clones from three separate hillside blocks composed of sandy loam weathered from sandstone, the wine captures what is representative of Savoy’s noted superior quality, dark fruit profile with assertive structure, bright natural acidity and elegance. Farmed using organic and sustainable methods with a modern vertical trellis system, the vineyard lies among gentle sloping southwest facing terraces leading to the Navarro River.
