Inspired by the renowned rosé wines of Provence, France, our 2020 DAOU Discovery Collection Rosé remains faithful to its origins. This wine is remarkably fragrant, offering generous aromas of fresh peach, Bartlett pear and nectarine, with subtle notes of hyacinth, apricot and crushed rose petals. The palate is delightfully silky, underlying a clean, fresh crispness delivering enticing flavors of mango, Crenshaw melon, lemon chiffon and tangerine. Secondary layers reveal hints of sweet cherry and vanilla with orange peel accents. The 2020 DAOU Cabernet Sauvignon displays a rich and exuberant nose withan abundance of ripe cherry, black plum, and Zante currants, accompanied by undertones of blackberry jam and crushed wet gravel. Highlights of coffee and pencil shavings are rounded out with notes of dried desert sage and baking spices. This cabernet is robust and full bodied on the palate with flavors of black cherry, cassis, and wild boysenberry. Subtle secondary layers of cranberry and blueberry are framed with hints of vanilla, black olive and fine leather. The 2020 Pinot Noir from Santa Barbara County offers an attractive nose of wild raspberries, succulent red cherries and pomegranate. Notes of sandalwood and baking spice mingle with suggestions of mushroom, African violets, new leather and toasty oak. Rounding out this elegant bouquet are hints of damp pine forest floor, rosehip tea and dark chocolate. On the palate, an astonishing purity of fruit flavor erupts with ripe cherry, cranberry, boysenberry and rhubarb, with trailing nuances of freshly sliced strawberries. Earthy truffle and pencil-lead minerality provide the foundation and balance for this exquisite wine, supporting a lengthy finish of plum, kirsch and pine needle.

Quintessential varietal character abounds in our 2021 Sauvignon Blanc. Classic aromas of wet grass, pineapple, lemon chiffon and gooseberry are accented by hints of grapefruit, kiwi and lime. Subtle notes of lemongrass and green apple round out the layered and balanced nose. A crisp, zesty palate presents vibrant tropical flavors of pineapple, papaya and dragon fruit. The mouthfeel is full and round, offering secondary layers of melon and quince supported by a solid lemon-lime core. Notes of juicy pineapple, guava, citrus and green apple emerge on a clean, exuberant finish.
