Nose
Notes of strawberry, dark fruits, earth, and vanilla.
Palate
Rich and balanced with a tremendous mid palette. It has bright acid, is full bodied, with medium tannins that will continue to evolve, and soften.
Growing Conditions
In 2020, our fruit matured beautifully on a 15 degree south facing slope at 1000 feet elevation. The vines enjoyed a cool winter with ample rain leading into a shy spring, with a later bud break. The conditions during flowering were average, and yields were smaller than average. The grapes endured a typically hot summer followed by a warm fall with our notably cool nights.
Harvest
Harvest began in mid September and was completed by mid October.
Bottling
Bottling dates were challenging due to COVID-19 restrictions, though it did not impact the quality or complexity of the wines.
Winemaking
Crushing operations went smoothly.
Aging
22 months in barrel.
50% New French Oak.
