Making the best wine the California Central Coast has to offer for over 30 years. The Hope family has been farming in Paso Robles for more than 30 years. When they arrived in this barely-discovered region, they planted apples and grapes. Little did they know that the rolling, oak-studded terrain of Paso Robles would one day become a viticultural terroir of significance and one of the top winegrowing regions for quality red wine within the Central Coast. Today, Hope Family Wines produces six brands: Austin Hope, Treana, Liberty School, Troublemaker, Austin and Quest. Austin's dream of making Paso Robles a destination for world class wines is being realized with history making accolades and scores on all of our wines and of course, the iconic Austin Hope Cabernet Sauvignon has set the benchmark for luxury cabernet from Paso Robles. The Austin Hope & Treana Tasting Cellar offers seated tastings with a casual, fun approach to award winning, world class wines. The spacious, unique tasting areas are a blend of eclectic décor, lounges and outdoor cabanas overlooking the estate vines. We look forward to sharing our wines, our passion and creating an exceptional experience for you.

Varinder and Anita, owners of Copia Vineyards and Winery, produce award-winning Rhône-inspired blends. He from an engineering background and she from the world of restaurants, together they came to Paso Robles to make wine one small lot at a time. Copia’s picturesque Willow Creek estate, with 20 acres under vine offers stunning views of the rolling hills of westside Paso Robles. Jeb Dunnuck has reported on their 2016 vintage: “… if these first releases are any indication, the future is very bright for this team.”
Hailed decades earlier as a “jewel of ecological elements” by legendary winemaker André Tchelistcheff, DAOU Mountain was rediscovered by brothers Georges Daou and Daniel Daou in 2007. Then known as Hoffman Mountain Ranch, the property produced notable wines and was widely considered the birthplace of modern winemaking in Paso Robles. However, its full potential lay unfulfilled for more than 30 years. After years of searching, their worldwide quest for a sublime terroir ended here, on steep slopes that ascend to an elevation of 2,200 feet, all blessed with the type of calcareous clay soil found in the greatest appellations. Under the brothers’ stewardship, the Adelaida District would soon become the world’s newest benchmark for Cabernet Sauvignon and Bordeaux varietals. DAOU is the culmination of the brothers’ shared dream. Through their vision and perseverance, it’s served as a catalyst for the entire Paso Robles region’s rise on the global wine scene, taking the industry by storm, challenging conventions and changing the paradigm of what a wine company can be.

Founded in 2004 by geologists, Bill and Liz Armstrong, Epoch is an ultra-premium producer of wines from Rhone, Zinfandel, and Tempranillo varieties grown on their three west Paso Robles vineyards – Paderewski, Catapult, and York Mountain. Winemaker, Jordan Fiorentini, carefully crafts these highly-rated wines utilizing organic and biodynamic practices. Epoch’s Winery and Tasting Room are located on the storied York Mountain, once home to one of the first bonded wineries on the Central Coast, and their Paderewski Vineyard was once owned, farmed, and cherished by Polish Prime Minister and famed pianist, Ignacy Jan Paderewski in the early 1900s. The Fableist is a collaboration between winemakers Curt Schalchlin and Andrew Jones. Curt, owner and vintner of the heralded winery Sans Liege, is known for his critically acclaimed Rhone varietal wines. Andrew, winemaker of Field Recordings, spends his days planning and planting vineyards and has stood foot in just about every vineyard on the Central Coast. Together, they produce The Fableist, a collaboration that gives special attention to the craft and story behind each wine. Each bottle has been artfully designed and inspired by one of Aesop’s many fables. Just as each of his timeless vignettes has a moral, we believe that every blend has its own story to tell, its own lessons to teach. There’s something profound about wine; it can inspire, bring loved ones together, fill hearts with warmth. As you enjoy each glass, we hope these stories spark a desire to ponder what really matters in life — and may they encourage you to find the wisdom within yourself.

When my husband Stephen and I first decided to leave Hollywood and move to Malibu, we either wanted a home where we could walk to the beach, or grow grapes; we happened upon a property that could do both. In 2001, we planted our first vineyard. The property's proximity to the ocean offered the perfect environment for growing Chardonnay grapes. Realizing that soon we would have lot’s of fruit, I bought 100lbs of grapes and began making my first wine, with my then 2 1/2 year old daughter in tow, in the kitchen of that very home. Since then, our family has grown in our love for harvesting and producing award-winning wines made with grapes grown all the way from the Malibu Coast to the Central Coast. We produce 800-1,200 cases of Estate wine each year. Our Paso Robles Vineyards are on one of the highest and most beautiful elevations on the west side's Willow Creek AVA. We can't wait to include you in our story, and share our special wines!
