A small, family owned and operated winery started by brothers Gino and Joe Perata. Our approach starts in the vineyard: we only use our own grapes and all of them are dry-farmed (no irrigation). We aim for small berries for intense, concentrated flavors. Picking starts at lower sugar levels than most of Paso Robles so that our wines are lower alcohol. Once the grapes are picked, we aim to let the wines reflect the season. We look for maximum extraction of flavor and color during fermentation and then barrel age the wines in either a small amount of new oak barrels or neutral (old) barrels. Our wines are big and rich with a higher acidity because we are of Italian heritage and we enjoy eating while drinking our wines. Our wines are excellent with food when young, or great for sipping once they have aged for 10+ years.

A Cab Franc based blend named after owner Gino's Mama, who loved mushrooms and couldn't wait for her wine to age.

Harvested from our dry farmed, head-trained vines. A classic Paso style with big raspberry fruit and hints of black pepper.

Cabernet Sauvignon Blend

A Bordeaux style blend named in honor of the owner's three daughters.

100% Sangiovese styled like an Italian wine with bright acidity and strawberry, floral and cedar notes. Aged 3 and a half years in neutral barrels before bottling.

A rich, full bodied Merlot with full but silky tannins, bright fruit and hints of earth.

A Super Tuscan style blend. 50% Sangiovese, 50% don't ask, just drink. The always the same blend, just let us worry about it, you focus on enjoying it.

While considered a blending grape in its home of origin, it’s hard to understand a wine unless you’ve had it by itself. Petit Verdot’s job in Bordeaux is to add tannin and body to Cabernet Sauvignon. It is added on cool years to fill out a thin Cabernet. Here in California, especially Paso Robles, we don’t need the Petit Verdot in our Cabernet Sauvignons, thank you very much. So we only planted a small amount just for fun. 

A hearty Italian variety with high acidity and big body. Pairs great with rich tomato based dishes.

Pure Cab Franc at its finest. Heavy tannin, lower acidity. Earthy with hints of fruit.
