Raymond Smith, founder of Indigené Cellars celebrates the origin of the terroir in every bottle of wine he makes. After years of bottling and tasting both fruit off the vine and wine, Smith has found his niche making wines that, as the land, are in a constant state of evolution and known to wow visitors with every sip. 

Born and raised in Oakland, CA, Smith worked as a ship joiner and grocery clerk, relocating to Paso Robles, CA, a small town on the Central Coast in the late 1980’s. He quickly acclimated himself to the many aspects of the wine business. Shortly thereafter he helped build and eventually owned and operated a small fleet of mobile wine bottling lines, developing great relationships with growers and producers, who shared the intricacies of the wine business.  Smith chose to further challenge himself and work to create excellent growing conditions and ideal cellaring practices, focusing on distinguishing aromas, transcending earth-tone textures, a balanced, fruit-driven palate, and a well-structured tannin to create unique noteworthy varietals and elegant blends.

Smith’s discerning palate has enabled him to scrutinize and form exacting standards that produce award-winning wines. Philanthropy has always been at the forefront of Smith’s mission, creating a wine devoted exclusively to his community-focused efforts with the intent to pay his success forward.

This elegant wine shows beauty and concentration complimented by bright fruit and body that is exquisitely perfumed and chocked full of flavonoids 

Pushing the boundaries of depth and color and silky viscosity. Deep garnet, purple hue with expressive perfumed notes of roses and black tea. Dark berry fruits cover vanilla and clove to show a combination of power and grace for this full bodied velvety wine.

The wide-ranging palate is hefty, rich and layered in flavors of blackberry past, black pepper. Smoked, pepper-crusted beef-rib aromas meet fruitier hints of roasted fig and black currant on the dynamic nose

A black raspberry aroma is made more complex by hints of earthy loam and dried mushroom. The palate packs in power as well as balance, offering black cherry, tart plum, blood orange-rind and cardamom flavors

Classic eastern Bordeaux style. Dried blackberry jam, crumpled rose petals and an array of purple flowers come through on the nose of this bottling from Carmel Valley, where winemaking goes back to the 1960s. The thick, hefty mouthfeel is supported by well polished tannins, delivering flavors of blackberry jam, licorice, white pepper, cocoa and coffee.

White

Comlex and Focused citrus notes brushed with light minerality. Layered tones of almond and quince frame vanilla and asian spice that fade as the medium toast expands. Crushed rock and honeysuckle aromas meet with pear flesh and crisp jicama on the nose of this bottling. There's a tight weave to the palate and lime-like acidity that balances the fresh coconut, creamy cherimoya and tropical banana flavors.

Sangiovese Blend

Well balanced, unfiltered and unfined this wine encompasses a Complex triad that complement each other. All while creating a harmonious Tuscan Blend Rich in soft acids, fruity tones and earthy flavors.


This Rhone Varietal was unfiltered and UN-fined to preserve its Nuances and complexity. Romantically called White Diamonds, you may experience some Tartaric acids in the Wine. This natural occurrence helps the wines PH Balance and protects it from spoiling. Slightly yellow in hue with Ripe Stone fruit and a Honeysuckle nose. Layers of Caramelized Pear, Raw Honey and Chalky minerals open up above a round lingering mid palate and focused almond notes.

Rich and opulent nose of dark fruits and baking spices. well integrated Black Raspberry and Ripe Cherry notes, the finish is Lightly Toasted yet Complicated. 91 PTS Wine Enthusiast

48 Month Sur Lie Brut Cure Sparkling WineBrilliant straw-yellow hue with perlage of feminine jasmine, sweetness and ripe pear bouquet. The palate is animated with crushed minerals, tropical fruit, and fennel over fresh biscuit notes. The 5g dosage produced focus, acidity and restrained mousse with a long and elegant finish.
