Growing Conditions

Located in the heart of the Russian River Valley on Olivet Road, this vineyard is one of the first that we sourced Pinot Noir from in the 1990s and two decades later it remains one of our best. The vineyard has the perfect combination of Goldridge sandy-loam soil combined with the cool and foggy Russian River climate that creates the perfect terroir for Pinot Noir.

Winemaking

The fruit was destemmed into a stainless steel fermentation tank and underwent 72 hours of cold soak prior to fermentation. After three weeks on the skins the young wine was placed into French oak barrels. After one year of aging on wood, the best 5 barrels of the lot were hand selected by the winemaker for our Single Vineyard Olivet Pinot Noir.

Aging

12 months barrel aging.
