Nose

Our Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon has distinct aromas of fig, raspberry and coco nibs accompanied by subtle notes of roasted coffee and clove.

Palate

The palate is full-bodied with a rich texture, lively acidity and a long, pleasant finish.

Growing Conditions

Alexander Valley lies in the northeast of Sonoma County, stretching eastward to the foothills of the Mayacamas Mountains, which shelter the vines from the Pacific Ocean’s cooling influence. This warm climate is ideal for growing Cabernet Sauvignon wines of intense flavor and silky tannins, and the excellent drainage of the rich, gravelly soils provides unique depth and character to the wines. Alexander Valley Cabernets tend to showcase a beautiful balance of intense black fruit flavor and opulent texture. The 2014 vintage had nearly perfect growing conditions with a long and dry growing season and mild temperatures.

Harvest

We harvested our Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon at the peak of flavor starting September 19th and finished on October 9th.

Winemaking

After fermenting on the skins for 18 days, the wine was briefly settled in stainless steel tanks before being moved to small oak barrels for 23 months of maturation.

Aging
