Nose

Dark fruit flavors of blackberry and black cherry join more complex spicy notes of nutmeg, vanilla and clove.

Palate

Full-bodied mouthfeel with exceptionally well-balanced tannins, that lead to a long excellent finish.

Growing Conditions

Our Yoakim Bridge Estate Vineyard is located at the northwestern end of Sonoma County’s Dry Creek Valley. The vineyard has rocky well-drained soil; this combined with its inland location gives it the perfect terroir for producing intensely flavored wines with excellent structure.

Bottling

Bottled April 2016.

Winemaking

Harvested by hand on September 17th and 18th, the grapes were brought to the winery and destemmed and crushed before fermenting on the skins for 19 days. After pressing, the young wine was settled in a stainless steel tank for 2 months before being placed in a combination of 75% French and 25% American Oak. After barrel aging was complete, the best barrels were selected by the winemaker for bottling our Single Vineyard Yoakim Bridge Cabernet Sauvignon.

Aging

Stainless Steel Tanks / French and American Oak Barrels.

Food Pairing

Our 2013 Yoakim Bridge Cabernet Sauvignon pairs nicely with dishes such as, Roasted Duck Breast with Pecan Purée, Asian BBQ Lamb Ribs, or Rosemary-Pepper Beef Rib Roast with Porcini Jus.
