Palate
Bursting with fruit, this wine expresses flavors of plum, strawberry, blueberry, mint and chocolate. The texture on the palate is gorgeously rich and thick, with lingering viscosity, subtle acidity and the concentrated tannins that typify the incredible 2015 vintage.
Growing Conditions
The theme for our Vintner Select red wines is to feature the single best vineyard blocks of our flagship varieties. Our Vintner Select Merlot is 100% clone 3 merlot, which also forms the core of our Reserve Claret. Year-in and year-out, this wine produces a luscious, intensely fruity and subtlety savory wine that is one of our favorites. The 2015 follows this trend, and to us, is the concentrated essence of merlot.
