Nose
Exhibits aromas of dark
fruits, huckleberry and brambles.
Palate
Upon the palate this big,
chewy wine has flavors of blackberry and cardamom spice
with a sweetness to the fruit that carries it through from start
to finish. Well-balanced and imposing, this wine is ready to
drink but will also age beautifully
Growing Conditions
The 2013 vintage in Napa Valley was one of the earliest
harvested vintages in years. A warm spring led to early bud
break and created the perfect environment for flowering and
fruit set. With warm days and cool nights, our team was able
to maintain ideal acid levels with optimum, bright fruit
flavors.
Our Small Lot Collection Peitite Sirah grapes come from
rocky-river soil in the Rutherford Appellation with Oak
Knoll Cabernet Sauvignon added to enhance the wine’s
textural balance.
Winemaking
Fermentation took place for 12-16 total
days on the skins.
Aging
This Petite Sirah is 100% barrel-aged for
16 months in Demptos, Nadalie, and Saury French Oak
barrels.
Appearance
A deep, dark purple in the glass.
Food Pairing
The perfect
complement to a delicious marbled steak.
