Nose
A huge perfume of blackberry liqueur, camphor, licorice, earth, and roasting meat juices. Fabulous complex aromatics.
Palate
A full-bodied Syrah with great purity, impeccable balance, and world-class richness, complexity, and stature. An impressive display of rich, zesty wild berry, raspberry jam and blackberry flavors, framed by firm acidity and integrated tannins and finishing with a long, concentrated aftertaste that keeps revealing new flavor facets.
Growing Conditions
The Bone Rock blend comes from the Bone Rock block of James Berry Vineyard. It is a steep terrace of old head trained Syrah vines on a south facing slope. We unearthed fossilized whale bones when we terraced it and then needed to use jack hammers to plant the vines.
Winemaking
Our wines are never racked off their lees and are bottled unfined and unfiltered.

Aged 21 months in both French and Hungarian oak.

It's a dense ruby/purple color.
