Spicy toffee, rich dark chocolate, coffee and traces of overripe fruit arouse the senses. This complex “Port Style” late harvest Zinfandel is aged in a solera, in the same way the Spanish age their Sherry, in heavy toast American Oak before being bottled, lending itself to rich complexity and consistent essences. Very limited production.
This Bordeaux blend is perfect for an evening rendezvous. On the nose are unexpected nuances of licorice and candied ginger. Flavors of oaky vanilla and dark cherry lead to a savory finish with a touch of leather. This wine’s beautiful lingering finish is balanced with good acidity and tannins. Blend: Merlot 38% Cabernet Franc 31% Malbec 31%
Garnet-hued, full bodied and sumptuous. Essences of plums and currants join tobacco and a lightly floral nose to make an interesting combination for your senses. Browned butter and dark chocolate on the rich, round finish is balanced with firm tannins and elevate this wine to a luxurious level.
Robust and elegant at the same time, flavors of plum, blackberry and black peppercorn mingle in its luxurious mouth feel. Firm tannins and crisp acidity are well matched. Gold Medal! 92 points at the 2022 San Diego International Winemakers Challenge.
Wine club only - in 2020 we decided we would add a new of of sparkling wines. We only use grapes from our vineyard, hence the name Domaine, which is French for estate. We picked the fruit very eary in its developement, right at 18 brix and very high acidity. We use the Methode Champenoise to attain the highest quality sparkling wine. Light bubbles let the flavors of melon and cucumber sparkle, where they meet a nose of lime zest and spring flowers for the most delicious introduction. A sip brings in a wash of cranberry and a buttery, toasty finish. We left this in tirage for over a year, adding to its complexity.
