Growing Conditions
Our Chardonnay grapes grow in the renowned Carneros AVA. The vineyards are cooled by marine air from a gap in the Pacific coastal range and from the northernmost reaches of San Francisco Bay. Soils at this wind-swept site on the valley floor consist of alluvial clay streaked with gravel. The vines are favored with excellent exposures and moderate temperatures, ideal for producing Burgundian varieties.
Aging
8 months in French oak.
