Growing Conditions
For Amici, the 2017 wine grape harvest will truly be remembered as a harvest of teamwork and dedication showed on all levels from our team, colleagues, friends and the first responders that saved our homes and livelihood. Almost all of our grapes were unaffected by the wildfires and this vintage is showing great promise with excellent quality, vibrancy and complexity to drink young or show through the years.
Winemaking
Made from grapes of premier vineyards in Russian River Valley, the Amici Cellars Reserve Pinot Noir showcases the classic Russian River characteristics of heady aromas, vibrant cherry fruit flavors and delicate tannins. A true beauty of a wine, it is delicious on release but will age well for 5- 7 years.
A wine that exemplifies the Russian River Valley Pinot Noir style with black cherry, pomegranate, rhubarb and cranberry notes with hints of leather. Flavors of black tea and cinnamon add complexity through the palate, where a dense, velvety texture is balanced nicely with crisp fruit-driven freshness.
Aging
100% Stainless steel fermentation with 25% whole cluster. Aged 11 months in 100% French oak (40% new).
