Palate
Refreshingly dry with soft aromas of floral perfume and a rich, full-bodied mix of lime, grapefruit and a peppery spice.
Growing Conditions
Our Gewürztraminer grapes come from two estate vineyards – one on the eastern edge of the Petaluma Gap, and the other in Sonoma-Carneros. Both vineyards are considered cool growing regions, with morning and evening fog rolling in during the growing season. Cooler conditions extend the ripening season and preserve the natural acidity of the grapes.
Winemaking
Our 2016 vintage was hand harvested by Second Generation Proprietor, Megan Cline, who mentored during the entire 2016 harvest with the winemaking team. The small yields made it possible for Megan and the team to crush the grapes by hand. Maceration followed for a half day to allow for extended texture and flavor extraction.
Aging
It was aged in neutral French oak for four months before bottling.
