Growing Conditions
The 2020 vintage began with a dry and somewhat warm winter, waking the vines up early. Spring frost and some inclement weather resulted in yields that were smaller than average. The season was a warm one but fluctuated between abnormally cold and intense heat, resulting in smaller yields giving nicely concentrated fruit. We were able to harvest some lovely grapes this year, producing wines of intense character and lovely complexity. The Chardonnays, Sauvignon Blancs and Rosé are wonderfully aromatic with real richness, lush fruit and bright, long finishes. It has been a joy to follow the elevage of these wines and we look forward to sharing and enjoying these wines with you.
Winemaking
Our 2020 Pinot Noir, Rosé is pressed whole cluster to retain its delicate fragrance and silky finish. This wine has lovely aromas of wild strawberry, raspberry and hibiscus that gives way to lush tones of pomegranate and tropical fruit on the palate. Our Rosé showcases bright red fruit and plummy notes, balanced intricately with a crisp, spellbinding finish.
