Nose

DAOU’s Pinot Noir from the famed Petaluma Gap AVA in Sonoma County, is intensely floral and spicy out of the glass. Tempting aromas of warm cherry, sweet strawberry and cranberry reveal highlights of violet and rose petal, all supported by an earthy foundation of truffles and damp forest floor.

Palate

On the palate, impressions of candy apple and sandalwood are complemented by notes of toasty oak and vanilla. A silky, succulent and voluptuous texture unfolds with mouthwatering flavors of kirsch, chocolate dipped strawberries, sassafras and dried plums. A long, fresh finish reveals lively acidity, delicate fine-grained tannins and lingering notes of raspberry and cherry vanilla.
