Growing Conditions
The microclimate and llicorella slate soil of this petite appellation (plantings cover only 2,000 acres) produce wines of intense power and character. The Morlanda vineyards are located in the hills of Priorat, the highest of which is Morlanda, the wine’s namesake and inspiration. The vineyard’s oldest vines are around 50 years old that produces this big, dense and succulent wine that is balanced with a distinctive minerality born of this unique and singular terroir.

The rich and powerful structure of this wines pairs well along side dishes with big flavors. Try braised short ribs, roasted pork loin or charbroiled steak with blue cheese.
