Growing Conditions
2011 was a very cool and low yielding vintage for our Pinot Noir vineyards in the Green Valley of Russian River Valley. The Fog Dance Pinot Noir is from our organically farmed, estate owned Pinot Noir vineyard on the rolling hills located just to the east of Green Valley Creek. This gorgeous vineyard was planted in 1996 upon Goldridge fine sandy loam soils to several Dijon clones: 667, 777 and 115. The Fog Dance Vineyards, Green Valley Pinot Noir bottling is named for the dance performed by the Pacific fog, drifting through the vineyards and back again to the sea each day. This wine reflects its cool Green Valley terroir, showing the brightness and purity of cherry, berry and cranberry flavors along with an elegant and refined texture.
