Growing Conditions

Our 2014 Rosé of Pinot Noir is produced predominately from an estate Green Valley of the Russian River Valley vineyard. The wine is produced from grapes, gently pressed to avoid extraction of any color from the Pinot Noir skins. We blend a small amount of saignée wine which comes from slightly more ripe fruit to give the wine a beautiful light salmon hue and brighter fruit characteristics. The juice was fermented in small stainless steel tanks at cold temperatures, to maintain bright fruit characters, with a small amount of the juice finishing fermentation in French oak barrels for a touch of richness and complexity.
