Palate
This opulent wine speaks to each of the neighborhoods that the grapes grow within. Middle Reach: Exotic honeysuckle aromatics and rich, almost oily texture. Laguna Ridge: Ripe pear and apple aromas and flavors. Green Valley: Citrus and focused fruit characters are framed by nice acidity. The finished wine shows all of these characters, as well as a round and rich sense from barrel fermentation and very subtle butterscotch aromas from malolactic fermentation.
Growing Conditions
Three Virtues Vineyards Chardonnay is handcrafted from three vineyards located in the heart of the Russian River Valley AVA. These vineyards are planted within three distinct neighborhoods within the Russian River Valley: Middle Reach, Laguna Ridge and Green Valley. The 2014 Hartford Court Three Virtues Chardonnay reflects the combination of these three areas showing great complexity and purity of fruit. All the vineyard selections are harvested separately and barrel fermented in French oak barrels, followed by malolactic fermentation and bi-monthly stirring of lees. The best barrels from each lot are selected and blended to create the final cuvée.
