Nose
Highly focused ripe blackberry, violet and anise aromas that transition into blackberry and blueberry flavors.
Palate
The big, dense, tannin structure of the wine is balanced by the high fruit intensity and bright acidity making it a wine that shows well today and will age and improve for years to come.
Growing Conditions
Dina’s Vineyard was planted by the Arata family more than 100 years ago. Today only about ten acres of gnarled, dry-farmed vines remain at the original Arata home-site. The vines, predominantly head-trained, are planted on the typical eight-by-eight spacing, originally intended to allow horses to cultivate between the vines in both directions of the vineyard planting. A deep, dark color, and dense, broad texture are all typical indicators of Dina’s Vineyard terroir.
