Ripe blueberry and black currant flavors, and tannins that express the wine’s mountaintop sourcing. This dense and spicy Syrah was crafted in a style reminiscent of the great wines of the Northern Rhộne Valley.
Growing Conditions
Our Outer Limits™ Vineyard Syrah comes from an estate vineyard located on a windswept ridge area near Annapolis, four miles from the Pacific Ocean at 900 foot elevation. The soils are Goldridge series on top of much older bedrock, which drives a balance between fruit, complexity and structure.
Bottling
Bottled with no fining or filtration.
Aging
21 months in 100% French oak; 36% new.
