Palate

The feeling I get when I walk through a midsummer farmers market, salivating over fresh samples of the season. bright red chandler strawberries, blushing clingstone peaches, juicy sun-kissed nectarines… Though its pale rose in color and has a soft round palette, this Rosé has complexity and layers that can rival a full bodied red wine. Its array of mid-summer fruit is complimented by its white stone mineral finish.

Growing Conditions

This eclectic blend of Syrah, Zinfandel and Carignane are all harvested from Paso Robles Westside in the Templeton Gap AVA. Extreme temperature swings from night to day during the harvest season helped create this fruit forward wine from California’s Central Coast.

Winemaking

Janell Dusi is the proprietor and winemaker, specializing in Zinfandel. She is a 4th generation farmer who was the first of the family to go beyond farming to produce signature wines from their vineyards. She honors her heritage by winemaking in the most native form. Her signature style is non-invasive wine handling. She chooses to age this Rose in stainless steel to showcase the bright fruit and natural acidity. Her winemaking style respects and reveals the natural varietal characteristics of these varietals. .
