This eclectic blend of varietals that make up this Rosé is yet another unique thing that came out of 2020. The 2020 harvest started off with a bang… super warm temperatures that pushed this Rosé right the off the vines. The warmer temperatures brought a more saturated Rosé is filled bright and intense fruit, rose petals and delightful finish of ripe summer strawberry.
Growing Conditions
This eclectic blend of Grenache, Zinfandel and Syrah are all harvested from Paso Robles Westside in the Templeton Gap AVA. Extreme temperature swings from night to day during the harvest season helped to create this fruit forward wine from California’s Central Coast.
Winemaking
Janell Dusi is the proprietor and winemaker, specializing in Zinfandel. She is a 4th generation farmer who was the first of the family to go beyond farming to produce signature wines from their vineyards. She honors her heritage by winemaking in the most native form. Her signature style is non-invasive wine handling. She chooses to age this Rose in stainless steel to showcase the bright fruit and natural acidity. Her winemaking style respects and reveals the natural varietal characteristics of these varietals. .
