Palate
This wine has a rich and broad mouthfeel with excellent viscosity and a long finish.
Growing Conditions
This vineyard lies at the southeast end of the Dry Creek Valley AVA near the town of Healdsburg. The vineyard alluvial soil is very well drained, providing ideal growing conditions for richly flavored Chardonnay.
Winemaking
The grapes were handpicked on September 21 and whole cluster pressed to protect the delicate flavors of the fruit. After pressing the juice was settled in stainless steel tanks before being placed in French oak barrels for fermentation. The wine was bottled after 7 months of sur lie aging where the yeast lees were stirred weekly to enhance the body, resulting in a wonderfully complex wine
