A rich, silky mouthfeel and well-structured tannins complete this wine with a long and supple finish.

Growing Conditions

Dry Creek Valley produces wines with densely-concentrated character and rich flavor. The best Zinfandel is grown in the benchlands, where dry rocky soils provide the perfect terroir.

The 2013 vintage had a long and dry growing season with mild temperatures making for nearly perfect conditions for producing superior Zinfandel. Harvest of our Dry Creek Zinfandel began September 21st and lasted until the October 12th with each vineyard being picked after it reached its maximum of flavor.

Bottling

Bottled September 2015.

Winemaking

The fruit was then crushed and destemmed before fermentation on the skins for three weeks. The young wine was pressed and settled before transfer into American and French oak barrels for 19 months. After aging was complete, our finest quality barrels were carefully selected and blended for bottling.

Aging

19 months in French and American oak.

Food Pairing

The zesty nature of this rich and full-flavored Zinfandel allows it to be an excellent accompaniment to full flavored dishes such as Southwestern Tri Tip, Moroccan chicken and Indian spiced short ribs.
