Nose
This wine offers aromas of crushed currants, graphite, fresh violets, hints of licorice, bay laurel and plum skins all accented by toasty cocoa and vanilla notes.
Palate
In Bordeaux terms, think the aromas of a seductive St. Emilion with the power and density of a Pomerol on the palate. On the palate, it has a silky entry that belies the power and intensity. Luscious, high-toned fruit with flavors of Bing and black cherry, red currant, plum and blueberry skins with hints of cedar and underlying notes of dried flowers and bay.
Aging
It was aged in one-time used French oak barrels for 18 months.
