Named in honor of Paul’s great grandmother, who established the Hobbs New York family farm, Katherine Lindsay Estate offers a multitude of microclimates over its fourteen rolling acres of pinot noir. Cuvée Agustina is named after Paul's daughter. This wine is a barrel selection produced only in best vintages to showcase texture, concentration and structure. It represents an unparalleled expression from block A9 in the southeast corner of our Katherine Lindsay Estate Vineyard. In 2007 and 2008 we carefully replanted the vineyard previously known as Walker Station and renamed our small hillside estate in Green Valley Ellen Lane Estate. This hill-side estate produces the most cool-climate expression of chardonnay in our portfolio. Aromas of lychee and white peach that lead to a racy palate of nectarine and lemon zest, finishing with vibrant acidity. These vines grow under the thoughtful watch of the Ross Family farmhouse, built in the 1850’s. The former peach orchard’s gently rolling hills provide a nurturing environment for our vines, optimizing flavor and vineyard expression. Aromas of ginger and citrus. The Ulises Valdez Vineyard, the personal estate of one of Northern California’s premiere viticulturalists, always yields wines of authority and volume. Bold, yet refined in tecture, layered with flavors of fuji apple and lemon grass.

Our most limited chardonnay is sourced from a tiny parcel within the gravelly acreage of this small, hillside property.    The barrel selection named in honor of Paul's daughter Agustina finds opulence and finesse in stunning balance. Well-regarded for its superlative fruit, he named it To Kalon, Greek for 'highest good'. In the 20th century, To Kalon found new glory as the source of the legendary Georges de Latour wines made by Andre Tchelistcheff. The sections we farm are specified by not just the block or row, but vine by vine.

Dr. George Belden Crane is credited along with Charles Krug as one of the major founders of the wine industry in Napa Valley. The vineyard in Saint Helena was originally planted in 1858. Characterized by gravelly loam soil, it was replanted with cabernet sauvignon in 1998. Sourced from the ‘filet’ sections of two specific blocks of the Beckstoffer Dr. Crane vineyard, this sophisticated cabernet sauvignon is known for its muscular structure and intensity. Saint Helena is one of the warmest areas in the Napa Valley, being the further away from the bay than Carneros or Oakville. It is characterized by long, warm summer days, but does receive a gentle, cooling influence in the form of afternoon breezes that come over the Mayacamas Mountains from the Pacific Ocean. Paul Hobbs has worked with Larry Hyde’s vineyard for 22 years and the resulting cool‐ climate cabernet sauvignon has an intensely loyal following.

First planted in the 1860’s, Stagecoach Vineyard was forced into dormancy during prohibition until it was rediscovered a hundred years later. Situated atop the eastern slopes of the Napa Valley, this is our highest elevation cabernet sauvignon vineyard. The renowned Stagecoach Vineyard sits atop high-elevation Atlas Peak, in Napa Valley. It’s rocky, rustic terrain forces the vines to struggle, producing intensely colored and flavored wines. Stagecoach vineyard is located high above the Napa Valley on the west-facing slopes of the Vaca Mountains near Atlas Peak. Its altitude, above the fog line most of the time, allows for a warm, dry climate. Well-drained volcanic soils quickly cool in the afternoon however, allowing fruit grown here to maintain good acidity.
