Palate
This opulent wine offers intense depth of flavor on the
palate, opening with layers of pure red fruits, rose petal and milk cocoa, along with nuances
of fresh earth. Lush, silky tannins complement a long finish, which is highlighted with floral
notes and subtle minerality.
Growing Conditions
: 2011 began with a rainy winter and spring across Sonoma and Napa
Counties. Summer was cooler than average but as harvest approached temperatures rose.
Our pinot noir ripened fully and evenly, allowing sugars and acid to develop in balance. The
wines from 2011 are bright, expressive and faceted.
