Nose
This complex pinot noir offers aromas of wild berries, rose petals, cola
and tobacco.
Palate
The silky, supple palate is brimming with raspberry, caramel fleur de sel,
lavender, cardamom; all supported with a mineral backbone.
Growing Conditions
2010 began with a wet winter and spring across Sonoma County. Summer
was cool, though as harvest approached temperatures rose. Our pinot noir and chardonnay
ripened fully and evenly, allowing sugars and acid to develop in balance. The wines from
2010 are bright, expressive and elegant

Bottling
Unfined and unfiltered; bottled August 2011.
Winemaking
Fermented in small, open‐top stainless steel fermentors with indigenous yeasts
4‐7 day cold soak, 15 day average total maceration
Direct to press; 2.5% whole cluster
Spontaneous malolactic fermentation in barrels
Aging
Aged 11 months in small French oak barrels; 48% new.

Deep ruby in color.
