Nose
The 2011 Chardonnay features a beautifully complex nose of quince, pineapple, Alsatian spice and beeswax, along with classic notes of fresh apples and pears and the lovely aroma of rain on a warm sidewalk.
Palate
In the mouth, the wine is all about elegance and balance, being uniformly thrilling from start to finish. The fruit and minerality combine with the right amount of acidity to make a gorgeous chardonnay that is resonant, vibrant and refreshingly crisp. Drink now or enjoy anytime over the next decade.
Growing Conditions
This chardonnay is sourced from vineyards in the Napa Carneros District. This is the way we dream of our chardonnay turning out.
Harvest
All of our chardonnay in 2011 was harvested a week prior to an October 3rd rain event that caused many Carneros growers trouble.

Bottled July 2012.
