Nose
The aromatic fruit profile includes red plums, raspberries and cranberries enhanced by subtle notes of rum raisin and hard candy.
Palate
The blend is simple, with 10% Cabernet Sauvignon from our Carolyn’s block added to bring richness to the mid-palate and provide the structure to balance the wine’s natural acidity.
Growing Conditions
The first red wine to be released from the elegant and expressive 2007 vintage, our Sangiovese is lithe and playful. Four rows of vines planted on South-facing slopes are meticulously managed by leaf pulling and fruit thinning, ripening a tiny crop of grapes that produces our most limited-production wine.
