Nose
Our 2015 Small Lot Collection Pinot
Noir Rosé is bursting with aromas of fresh strawberry, white peach and
a touch of rose petal.
Palate
Flavors of cranberry, white plum and vanilla with
hints of soft floral and white pepper are well balanced with bright
acidity. Well-structured and dry.
Growing Conditions
The 2015 growing season was another early harvest, similar to the
previous few vintages. While grape yields were down throughout the
state, the quality and depth of flavor of the fruit was exceptional.
Despite a drier than average year and inconsistent weather patterns,
grapes ripened and matured at optimal levels allowing remarkable
flavor development resulting in balanced wines.
The grapes for this Pinot Noir Rosé are grown throughout beautiful
vineyards in Sonoma County, mostly in the Russian River Valley. The
region’s proximity to the bay with cool breezes and morning fog make
it the perfect location for growing Pinot Noir with bright acidity and
red berry flavors
Winemaking
Using the saignée technique, this wine was fermented
mostly neutral French oak with some in stainless steel.
Aging
This elegant
wine was sure lie aged for 5 months, with the lees being stirred once a
month.
Appearance
A beautiful rose gold in the glass.
Food Pairing
This is a clean, crisp wine that will pair
well with light dishes like quiche or flakey fish..
