Growing Conditions
The 2016 growing season was a fairly early harvest, similar to the
previous few vintages. While grape yields were only slightly greater
throughout Sonoma County over 2015, the quality and depth of flavor
of the fruit was exceptional. Overall the season was marked by warm
days and cool foggy nights with a cooler than average August. The
cooler weather resulted in longer hang time for the fruit which
provided amazing ripeness and greater layers of flavors without
exaggerated sugar levels.
The grapes for this Pinot Noir Rosé are grown throughout beautiful
vineyards in Sonoma County, mostly in the Russian River Valley. The
region’s proximity to the bay with cool breezes and morning fog make
it the perfect location for growing Pinot Noir with bright acidity and
red berry flavors.
