Nose
The 2012 Syrah has blackberry and baking spices on the nose, as well as hints of vanilla and white pepper.
Palate
The dark fruit gleams through on the palate and is supported by a slight smoky note. A smooth entry and excellent overall density leads to a long, polished finish. This wine will only improve over the next five to eight years.
Growing Conditions
Less than one acre of vines planted below our famed Angelo’s Hillside Vineyard produces our Estate Syrah.
Aging
18 months in American oak.
