Nose

The nose rises with fresh baked blueberry cobbler, black plums, and vanilla crème brûlée.

Palate

On the palate, the fruit expresses as baked plum, black cherry compote and olalliberry pie. The baking spices give way to a vanilla custard on the mid-palate, leaning more caramel and toffee. The oak is prominent but rises gently and is textured, with round edges of aged leather and the spice of cigar box.

Winemaking

A wine that looks to maximize cellaring potential and reward patience. With that focus, we turned to the cellar to find the grapes best suited for that goal and we returned with a blend of 48% Cabernet Sauvignon, 48% Cabernet Franc and 4% Petit Verdot. These grapes have the most aging potential of our portfolio, and they are the right team to answer Time Capsule’s call.

Appearance

In the glass, this wine glistens in a deep, dense maroon with a slight purple edge.
