Palate
On the palate, this bold red blend opens with a velvet touch and flavors of blackberries and plum layered upon notes of vanilla and finishing with hints of cigar box.
Harvest
The 2018 Growing Season was truly an exceptional year for ripening grapes. Winter started with very little rainfall, which made growers worry that it may be another year of drought. When March arrived, however, it brought along the much-needed rainfall that helped fill the root zone, water table, and some reservoirs. The vines came out of winter dormancy and began the season with ample water and abundant sunshine.
Winemaking
The Proprietor’s Series Red Wine offers a unique opportunity to enjoy limited release wines available only to winery guests and wine club members. Small lots were carefully selected from prized Napa Valley vineyards to produce this wine. Our winemaking team handcrafted this one-of-a-kind Red Blend to showcase the amazing quality that can be achieved when world-class grapes are creatively and meticulously crafted into wine.
Aging
18 months in French and American oak barrels
