Palate
This vineyard follows in this theory - small clusters and small berries creating a complex wine with dark red/black fruit aromas, pepper and earthiness. Elegant in structure and tannin.
Growing Conditions
Our 2020 Cabernet Sauvignon comes from a 59 year old vineyard in the Adelaida District of Paso Robles. Old vines are known for producing smaller yields which often times translate to more concentration in flavor and unique wines.
Winemaking
Pictured in on the label are our grandparents/great grandparents Joe and Dorothy San Filippo. The San Filippo's originated in Sicily and ended up in the Windy City. This picture is from the mid '40s in Chicago. Joe and Dorthy are ready to hit the town in a very Italian-American, elegant jet black car.... too bad they didn't have any San Rucci Cabernet with them.
