Nose
This wine emanates aromas of ripe raspberry, vanilla and coffee with underlying hints of milk chocolate and cherry.
Palate
This wine starts with a beautiful entry of red fruit and soft, lush opulent texture. The mouth feel is smooth and rich with flavors of blackberry and cassis.
Growing Conditions
The 2014 vintage followed the dry 2013 growing season. Hardly a drop of rain fell during winter and everyone was very nervous for what the year would bring. How happy we all were to see a couple of perfectly timed rainstorms in the spring. This helped the canopies develop fully which, in turn, gave us plenty of plant energy to ripen another solid crop. The moderate summer and fall weather helped bring in extremely high-quality grapes with good yield.
