A brief history
It all started while coming across an old drawing from a drafting class in high school. A truss bridge. With the initial dream of becoming an architect, winemaker Kyle Jury's philosophy has always been about finding the perfect balance of art, nature, and science when crafting these wines.
Kyle's wife Brittany is an incredibly talented interior designer, so the inventive minds went to work when thinking of something that represents them with the utmost authenticity. They kept coming back to that old drawing of a truss bridge. It was fate. During this process, Kyle and Brittany welcomed their first child, Nora. The structure of a truss consists of two force members and a third side that when assembled, the whole behaves as a single object. In their case, Kyle and Brittany represent the weight bearing elements, with the addition of Nora completing the structure.
However, an endeavor like this takes more than just a small family. The Jurys began this passion project to share their expressions of their favorite wines to drink. Loosely defined as a "collection of things bound together", the name Truss checked all the boxes in representing their philosophy. Truss wines are an homage to the relentless efforts of all involved in their creation and brought together by the beauty in structure.
