Growing Conditions

For more than fifty years, Mounts Vineyard has been a source of premium wine grapes in the Dry Creek Valley, renowned for world-class Zinfandel. With three generations of farming the same area, the Mounts family uses the knowledge of each block's unique exposure, soil texture and depth when choosing rootstock, clone and trellis design. This careful consideration allows for excellent vine balance, giving the maximum expression of fruit character, balance and structure to our Mounts Vineyard Zinfandel.
