A brief history
You might think that Marycrest was the original name of the property on which the winery sits today. In reality, Marycrest Manor is a convalescent home in Culver City where Victor Abascal, the owner/winemaker at Vines on the Marycrest planted some of his first vines. However, the nuns who ran the home discovered Victor’s little paradise and, thinking the plants were of a less-than-legal variety, ordered Victor to remove them. Read on to find out what happened…
