This Chardonnay opens with bright aromas of Meyer lemon, apricot, and crisp Fuji apples.
Growing Conditions
We sourced one hundred percent of our 2016 vintage from Block 123 of the Ramal West Vineyard in the Carneros AVA. The Ramal West vineyard sits within a half mile of the San Pablo bay, where the vines benefit from morning fog and afternoon winds, cultivating a perfect environment for vibrant acidity and optimum ripeness. Block 123 is planted to Clone 48 Chardonnay, known for its petite clusters, and sits on a steep southwestern facing slope.
Winemaking
Fermented with native yeast in 100% second use French oak barrels at cellar temperature, then aged sur lees for 10 months before bottling. No yeast, nutrient or fining additions were made from grape to bottle.
