Nose

Palate
Cocoa powder and spice come through on the palate accompanied by broad tannins and a rich and persistent finish.
Growing Conditions
Knights Valley one of the most remote AVAs in Sonoma County, bordering Napa Valley to the east and Alexander Valley to the northwest. Protected by ocean influences, this region experiences a moderated climate, offering a longer and later growing season that develop more dark fruit aromatics. Very fine textured soils allow for great drainage even at lower elevations, producing small berries that deliver powerful tannins and densely structured wines.
Winemaking
Fermented in open top stainless steel tanks. Barrel selected and blended at 18 months.
Aging
Aged for an additional 6 months for the total aging of 24 months in French oak (48% new).
