Nose

Our 2009 Réserve Spéciale Cabernet Sauvignon has aromas of spice, cedar, tobacco and black cherry with dark chocolate and a hint of vanilla.

Palate

Lush palate with good acidity, big tannins and well-integrated oak and spice; long finish with black fruit and cedar.

Growing Conditions

The core of our 2009 Sonoma Valley Cabernet Sauvignon came from the Sonoma Valley AVA. To generate more complexity, we harvested fruit from a handful of low-yielding, rocky sites that offered a diversity of exposures. The cooler, east-facing vineyards brought balance and elegance to the wine while the warmer, west-facing parcels delivered riper aromatics and broader tannins

Winemaking

Fermented in stainless steel, 100% ML.

Aging

Aged for 24 months in predominantly French oak and some American oak (40% new barrels, 60% seasoned).
