Growing Conditions
Saralee’s Vineyard in the Russian River Valley is an extremely unique growing site. The vines are terraced in a concentric circle around a small hill, which offers many different exposures and impart a complex aromatic profile to the fruit. After gently pressing the grapes, the wine was fermented in 100% neutral French oak barrels, with partial malolactic fermentation being utilized as well. The wine was then barrel aged in neutral French oak for 9 months prior to bottling.
