Aromatics of spiced oak, melon and Bartlett pear.
Palate
Palate is lush and layered with lingering acidity and flavors of citrus, ginger and baked apple on the finish.
Growing Conditions
We sourced our fruit primarily from the Sangiacomo Vineyard, located at the western edge of the Los Carneros-Sonoma AVA. This vineyard is a prime location for delicate varietals such as Chardonnay, with its warm days tempered by cooling fog and breezes from the Pacific Ocean and San Pablo Bay. The fruit has a chance to develop slowly, allowing for optimal flavor, complexity, and character in the resulting wine.
Winemaking
Wine went through 100% Malolactic fermentation.
Aging
Fermented in 82% French oak (17% new) for 10 months.
