Nose

The nose is packed with intense aromas of lime, apple, lemon, honey, candlewax and flint.

Palate

The palate is bright and rich, with a stunning depth of citrus and tropical fruit flavors, along with notes of apple pie, mineral, and anise. The finish resonates with spice and zingy lemon and nectarine.

Dried apricots, tangerine, flowers and mint are some of the nuances that are woven throughout this large-scaled, highly expressive Chardonnay. A striking, textured finish rounds things out in style

Growing Conditions

The 2010 vintage of Durell is another classic, the cooler fall allowed us to harvest about 10 days later than usual at around the same brix level as normal. The result is a wine that has all of the body and intensity of years past, but leans more toward mineral and citrus flavors, with less tropical fruit impression.

Appearance

Rich golden straw color.
